In 1992, Gary Webb founded OCJ (Opportunity Community and Justice) for Kids to offer resources, services, and adult mentorship to vulnerable children in the foster care system.
Webb wanted a video to raise awareness of OCJ’s story and mission. Tonal sat with him, created a production plan, and scheduled a filming day. At the last minute the location fell through, but Tonal improvised and filmed the video in a studio, using exposed light bulbs on a dark set to depict the darkness foster care kids face and the light OCJ brings into their lives. Powerful messaging and a strong musical score added the finishing touches to this moving story of an organization making a big difference.
